The CMM's Communications Officer provides the organization with media linkages to a variety of audiences. The CMM feels it is important that effective, timely, professional information be available to member communities. The Communication Officer achieves this by developing community stories for the Mi'kmaq-Maliseet Nations News, circulating a monthly staff newsletter, and maintaining The CMM website. On a larger scale, Communications is responsible for circulating updates of The CMM to Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly and various government departments.
