Michael Cox has over ten years experience working for First Nations Communities within the Atlantic Region. Michael has been with The Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq since 1999. Prior to his employment at The CMM he worked with Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and Environment Canada.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology from Dalhousie University, course certificates in Environmental Assessment and Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I-V) and is a graduate of the Engineering and Aquatics Environment course offered by Dillon Consulting.
